Cleveland Force News Release
CLEVELAND, OHIO- The Cleveland Force will look to open its summer charity softball schedule this Saturday, June 21 against Fox Sports Net Ohio. The Force was scheduled to begin play last Saturday against WKYC TV-3, but due to the field conditions after a night of rain, the two teams were unable to play.
The Force and Fox Sports Net Ohio will take on each other for the second straight year when the two teams face off at Valleywood Park in Seven Hills. The game is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. Last year, the Force defeated Fox Sports Net Ohio in a nine-inning game at the Blossom Field in Brecksville.
The Cleveland Force team will include: Head Coach Andy Schmetzer, Trainer Aaron Galpert, defender DJ Newsom, goalkeeper Denny Cironei, forward Braeden Cloutier, forward Myles Stoddard, forward Lee Edgerton, defender Glen Sullivan, and midfielder Kyle Widder as well as members of the front office. Players and media will be available for autographs and pictures following the games.
Admission to the game is free, but the Cleveland Force and Fox Sports Net Ohio are asking their fans to bring canned food or any non-perishables for donation to benefit Lend A Hand. Monetary donations will also be accepted. All proceeds from the games will be distributed through Cleveland Force Charities.
For directions to this Saturday's game as well as all the softball games can be found on the Force website at www.clevelandforce.com/news.
