Force All Smiles At Private Event

June 9, 2007 - National Pro Fastpitch (NPF)
Philadelphia Force News Release

June 9, 2007-Allentown, Pa.- On Wednesday, June 5, the Crowne Plaza hotel in Allentown played host to a cocktail party where the players and front office staff of the Philadelphia Force gathered with representatives from their local sponsors. The players were all smiles as they mingled for over two hours introducing themselves and signing autographs for those in attendance.

On the many big screen televisions throughout the establishment, 2006 Force highlights were shown throughout the evening. The players would look up to watch the outstanding plays their teammates turned in last season. Also shown was last week's episode of TV2's Force Forum, hosted by ECTB Stadium's PA announcer Barry Eisenberg.

Mascot Belle was on hand to get herself into as many photographs as she could.

Many of the current and potential sponsors were in attendance. They had a great time meeting and getting to know all the players. Everyone offered support and well-wishes for the second-year National Pro Fastpitch league team.

The attitude of the players was of confidence and relaxation, mixed with nervous excitement. This year's edition of the Force only has seven returning players, so this event gave the teammates one last chance to hang out together as a team before the season started the next night. Late additions to the roster, Margo Pruis and Stacy Birk, and draft pick Megan McAllister raved about their new surroundings in Allentown.

The Force are in the middle of a four-game series against the Washington Glory at ECTB Stadium until Sunday. The Akron Racers will be making a visit to Allentown next week for a four-game series running from Wednesday through Saturday with all game times set for 7:05 p.m. Tickets can be obtained by calling 610-841-7639 and are on sale at the gate.
