Georgia Force News Release
FLOWERY BRANCH, GA - The Force have announced the signing of eight-year AFL veteran WR/DB Jarrick Hillery.
Hillery, 5-10, 200 pounds, joins the Force after spending the previous two seasons with the Nashville Kats. Hillery, a product of Brunswick (GA) High School, enjoyed his most productive seasons as a member of the Georgia Force from 2002-03. In his two seasons with Georgia, he totaled 116 receptions for 1,304 yards with 22 touchdowns on offense. Defensively, Hillery collared 77.5 tackles, three interceptions and 11 passes defensed for the Force. In 2002, he set career-highs in receptions (60), receiving yards (742) and touchdowns (14) in Georgia's inaugural season and helped lead the Force to their first ever playoff appearance in 2003. In eight seasons, he has registered 298 receptions for 3,124 yards with 49 touchdowns on offense in addition to 228 tackles, 28 passes defensed, 11 interceptions, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery on defense. Hillery's veteran leadership and team attitude will blend well with Georgia's secondary and wide receivers corps as Georgia prepares to open training camp on February 8.
"Jarrick adds to the veteran leadership of our football team," said head coach Doug Plank. "He is known around the league for being a team player. Hillary is sound in all facets of the game and does not make mental mistakes that will cost your football team. We are pleased to have him on our team heading into the season."
Force season tickets are currently on sale, starting at $9 a game. For ticket information, please contact the Force ticket sales office at (404) 222-5770.
