
Fog Devils will play hockey in 2005-2006

BOUCHERVILLE, Thursday, March 3, 2005 (QMJHL) â There will finally be hockey in St. John's, Newfoundland, next season. A confidential rental agreement has been signed this morning between the owners of the Fog Devils and the representatives of St. John's Sports & Entertainment Ltd., the administrators of the Mile One amphitheatre.
Following a great deal of effort from both parties, the QMJHL will, as they had first planned it, have 18 teams for its 2005-2006 season.
«It's a satisfactory conclusion for the QMJHL, the Fog Devils and the city of St. John's, Newfoundland. We are very happy with the results, and I am convinced that the people from St. John's are as happy as we are. The Mile One is an exceptional building where excellent games will be played next season, as we had planned it last December», said the QMJHL Commissioner, Gilles Courteau.
