
Fog Devils prepare for training camp

St. John's Fog Devils News Release
The St. John's Fog Devils prepare to open Training Camp on Wednesday, August 16 at the Mount Pearl Glacier and Smallwood Arena with fifty-one (51) players invited to camp in the hope of being named to the roster. Of the invitees, nineteen (19) are from Newfoundland and Labrador and seventeen (17) are returning players from last year's inaugural Fog Devils club.
The first On-Ice session takes place on August 18th with the majority of the On-Ice sessions being held at Smallwood Arena in Mount Pearl. The club moves into Mile One Stadium on September 4th.
The highlights of Camp include the Red White Intersquad game on Sunday, August 20th at the Smallwood Arena (2pm) and a pair of preseason games in Gander against the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles on August 25th and 26th. The club will play a total of five (5) preseason games, including the aforementioned games in Gander.
The Fog Devils Training Camp Guide will be available online on Wednesday.
The St. John's Fog Devils are a member of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and are one of 59 member clubs of the Canadian Hockey League. The franchise begins its second season in September when it will host the PEI Rocket on the 15th.
