Fargo-Moorhead Jets News Release
Fargo (ND) Any small business can use all the help it can get, and for the Fargo-Moorhead Jets Junior A hockey team, they will have plenty of it this season. The Fargo-Moorhead Jets have announced their list of 15 interns, who will work with the team's broadcaster Scott Montesano in the public relations department this season.
Consisting of students from North Dakota State, Moorhead State and Concordia College, the 15 interns were selected from a candidate pool of nearly 30, for their previous experience and level of independence.
The interns will actually serve as the coordinators of many of the team's new promotional schemes as part of the team's "Wanna Be Cool" marketing campaign this season. Interns will create, develop market and run college night promotions, a floor hockey tournament and other events throughout the season.
"People learn the most when they are in an independent, hands-on, environment, so I'm excited to see what each of these students will put on for the fans of the Jets" said Montesano. "We have more interns then most minor-pro teams have on a full-time staff, so this allows us to get more creative then we ever have before."
Fans will notice a huge difference on game nights. Interns will serve as game night staff, using the experience to gather ideas for how traffic flow and fan enjoyment can be increased. Interns will also act as liaisons between the team and a rejuvenated booster club, plus help promote the team's new merchandise line.
