Flying Tigers Return Home Saturday for Doubleheader with Yankees Starting at 4:00 PM

Lakeland, FL - The Lakeland Flying Tigers return home for a doubleheader against the Tampa Yankees on Saturday, August 17. The first game is the resumption of the July 4 suspended game and will start at 4:00 p.m. The Yankees are batting in the top of the 1st inning. The suspended game will be 9 innings and the second game will be 7 innings and will begin approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one. Gates to Marchant Stadium will open at 3:30 p.m. Tickets for all home games are available by calling the Flying Tigers at (863) 686-8075. Box seats are $6 and reserved seats are $5 and seniors 55 and over and children 14 and under receive a $1.00 discount. Saturday tickets are an additional $1. Wednesday All-You-Can-Eat tickets are $10. Parking is FREE.

Saturday, August 17 Doubleheader vs. Tampa Yankees @ 4:00 p.m. (Gates open at 3:30 p.m.) Back to School Night The first 500 kids ages 14 and under will receive a free Tigers binder. Additionally, the first 250 kids ages 14 and under will also receive a free Tigers pencil set.

Pre-Game Tattoo and balloon artists from Twisted Artz will be in the main concourse beginning at 4:30 p.m.

Star Wars Night For all the Star Wars fans this is the night for you. We be joined by several costumed Star Wars characters from the 501st Legion before and during the game. Fans and interact with them and get autographs. Costumes are encouraged!

Santa Fe Catholic High School Spirit Night Santa Fe students, teachers and parents will be participating in fun promotions throughout the game as part of Back to School Bash. They will also be holding a raffle and are giving away an iPad Mini.

Start Something Big Night Join the Big Brothers and Big Sisters for a great night of thanking all of their wonderful volunteers and supporters. We will have a big brother and little brother on hand to throw out the night's ceremonial first pitch. Plus BBBS will be on hand to meet and greet with hands who are interested in learning more about becoming a Big brother or Big sister.
