
Flying Tigers Annouce 2010 Schedule

Lakeland Flying Tigers News Release
Lakeland, FL - The Flying Tigers today announced the club's 2010 Florida State League (FSL) schedule. Next season will mark Lakeland's 60th season in the FSL and 44th as a Detroit Tigers minor league affiliate. Lakeland first began playing in the FSL in 1919.
The Flying Tigers will open the season on the road Thursday, April 8 in Tampa to take on the FSL champion Yankees. The Flying Tigers home opener will be Friday, April 9 at 7:00 p.m. at Joker Marchant Stadium against Tampa. There will be special pre-game activities and ceremonies, BirdZerk, one of the widest and craziest shows in sports, will entertain fans during the game and there will be a spectacular post-game fireworks show.
The schedule is highlighted with home games on the 4th of July, Armed Forces Day, and education day games. A full promotional calendar will be released at a later date.
