
Flyers Open Their Season at Home with a Victory

Fullerton, Ca- the Orange County Flyers opened up their season last night at Goodwin Field, located on the campus of Cal State Fullerton against the Yuma Scorpions with a final score of 24-4.
The Flyers responded to the home crowd and put on the show for everyone who came out and supported them. Every player chipped in and played with great team chemistry. Some key notable performances include: David Bacani who hit for the cycle: (single, double, triple, and home run) and Patrick Breen who had three home runs and 5 RBI's. Matt Merricks was flawless for the Flyers, pitching 5 solid innings of baseball and allowing only one hit and no runs.
With this victory in hand the Flyers improve their season record to 11-3 and remain in first place in the South Division of the Golden Baseball league. The Flyers continue their home stand tonight against the Yuma Scorpions at 7:05 pm at Goodwin Field Located on the Campus of Cal State Fullerton
