Orange County Flyers News Release

The Chico Outlaws defeated the Fullerton Flyers in a pitchers duel that lasted just two hours and seven minutes at Nettleton Stadium. Outlaws starter Nick Singleton pitched the first complete game in his career and held the Flyers to one run on three hits.

Jakubauskas had a 1-0 lead until the 6th inning when Mike Mallory drove a 3-2 pitch over the left field wall to give the Outlaws the lead for good.

Mallory leads the Golden Baseball League with eight homers and 32 runs batted in.

The Flyers got their one run after back-to-back singles by Gabriel Mayorga and Rich Pohle. Peanut Williams double play groundout scored the run in the 4th inning.

Rich Pohle was the only Flyer to have a two hit game.

Jakubauskas record dropped to 2-1 and the Flyers have now lost four consecutive games.

Jeremy Sugarman will look to stop that streak tomorrow night against Chico at 7:05 pm.
