
Flurry of moves prior to trade deadline

BOUCHERVILLE, Monday, August 21, 2006 (QMJHL) - Several teams made moves today as they took advantage of the final hours prior to the trade deadline (noon).
The Val-d'Or Foreurs sent defenseman Gabriel Carle (89-12-20) to the Acadie-Bathurst Titan for their 2nd round selection (acquired from Val-d'Or) in the 2007 QMJHL Entry Draft as well as a 3rd round selection in 2008. The Titan also received blue-liner Beau Prokopetz (87-04-30) from the Drummondville Voltigeurs for their 3rd round pick in 2008 and Jean-Sébastien Hogg (88-03-02) from the Baie-Comeau Drakkar for their 7th round selection in 2007.
The Quebec Remparts sent captain Simon Courcelles (86-06-10) to Lewiston for their third round pick in 2007. The MAINEiacs also acquired forward Triston Manson (86-06-19) from the Shawinigan Cataractes for their 5th round pick in 2007 while sending Pier-Luc Champagne (88-07-28) to the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies for their 3rd round pick in 2008.
The Victoriaville Tigres sent defenseman Geoff Oliver (88-04-05) to the Gatineau Olympiques for their 8th rounder in the 2007 Entry Draft and acquired Jonathan Jobin (88-11-21) from the Huskies for their 10th round pick in 2007.
The Chicoutimi Saguenéens acquired defenseman Sébastien Bernier (87-02-06) from the St. John's Fog Devils for their 5th round pick in 2008.
Finally, the PEI Rocket traded forward Simon Bolduc (87-05-20) to the Val-d'Or Foreurs for their 7th round selection in 2007.
