
Florida's Pietersma Suspended One Game

PRINCETON, N.J. â The ECHL announced on Thursday that it has suspended Florida right wing Stu Pietersma for one game as a result of his actions in ECHL Game # 45 vs. Louisiana on October 24.
At 9:14 of the third period, Pietersma entered the ice on a legal line change and immediately instigated an altercation with a Louisiana player. Pietersma was assessed a minor penalty for instigating, a major penalty for fighting and a 10-minute misconduct under Rule 56(a).
Pietersma is suspended one game under Rule 72(a) Leaving Player's Bench and Rule 33(a) Supplementary Discipline.
Pietersma will miss Florida's game vs. Gwinnett (Oct. 31).
