Florida Stingray Chris Morant Named As Alternate To Western Conference All Star Team

Ft. MYERS, FL. - The American Indoor Football Association's (AIFA) expansion team, the Florida Stingrays announced today that LB/FB Chris Morant was named as an alternate to the AIFA's Western Conference All Star Team.
Morant was coaching children at his football camp at Lions Park in Fort Myers when he received a call from VP of Operations, Jay Lawrence with the good news.
The AIFA's All Star Classic will be played in February 2009 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Details to come.
VP of Operation, Jay Lawrence " It is great to see Chris Morant get recognized for his on field contributions, but Chris is a lot more than just a talented football player. Having Chris with the Stingrays was like having an extra coach on the field and his work with children makes him an outstanding ambassador to the community. One of our goals as an organization is to invest in our players and help advance their career in football even after their playing days are over. Chris Morant definitely has some great playing years left in the tank, but he will be an even better asset in the Stingrays front office some day."
