Florida Stingrays News Release
Ft. MYERS, FL. - The American Indoor Football Association's (AIFA) expansion Team Florida Stingrays announced today that WR Kendall Newson has signed a contract with the Arena Football League's Georgia Force, making him the Stingray's first player to make the jump.
Newson (27), who played in the NFL with the Jaguars, Dolphins, and Titans has fought all the way back from serious knee and achilles tendon injuries to get this far, but Newson has his eyes on getting into training camp with an NFL team.
VP of Operations, Jay Lawrence, " This is an outstanding day for our whole organization. This is why we're here! A young man like Kendall who's potential is through the roof just needs a place to shine. We provide that opportunity. Kendall will be the first of many who use the Stingrays to springboard their career. I look forward to watching his career!"
Brother/Agent Ron Newson, " Kendall's dedication, hard work, and belief in God and himself are what have gotten him here. Kendall greatly appreciates the opportunity the Stingrays gave him and wishes the team the very best in the future".
