Florida Stingrays News Release

April 13, 2008 - Ft. MYERS, FL. - The American Indoor Football Association's (AIFA) Florida Stingrays announced major changes today due to lagging performance within the sales department and on the field after 0 - 4 start. Gone from the front office are General Manager Gary Vaughn along with Sales Manager John Riley as well as all office sales staff. The Stingrays will reassemble the sales office from the ground up and will begin interviewing people this week to fill the vacant sales positions.

On the frield, player and coaching changes have taken place as well with the addition of Coach Riley Ware being brought in to coach the defense. Several players on the original roster have been released.

President Dave Still, " Our number one focus is to bring a winning franchise to SW Florida and we know that success must start in the front office. The organization has given the sales staff ample time and numerous chances to increase their performance and our organization could no longer afford to continue moving forward with the current sales staff in place."

VP of Operations, Jay Lawrence, "I think S.W. Florida is in for a suprise. Our whole organization is on notice that poor performance will not be tollerated at any level. We will be an organization focased on excellence from the ownership down to the water boys!"
