
Florida State League Names Players of the Week

The Florida State League announced today the Player and Pitcher of the Week for the period April 28- May 4, 2014.
The Player of the Week was Brevard County Manatees Outfielder Michael Reed. In six games, Michael collected 12 hits in 21 plate appearances for a .571 batting average. His hits included two homeruns, four doubles, with five RBI's and scored nine times. His OBP was .700 and his slugging average was 1.048. He had two stolen bases. This is Michaels fourth year in professional baseball and he resides in Cedar Park, Texas.
The Pitcher of the Week was Lakeland Flying Tigers Right-hander Edgar De La Rosa. He started one game, recorded a win and had a 0.00 ERA. In seven innings pitched he allowed one hit, gave up three walks, and struck out eight batters. Edgar is in his fourth year of professional baseball and he was born in El Seibo, DR.
