Florida State League Names Pitcher and Player of the Week

The Florida State League today named the Player and Pitcher of the Week for the period August 6 - August 12, 2012.
The Player of the Week was Tampa Yankees Infielder Kyle Roller. He played in six games and collected six hits in 16 plate appearances. His hits included two triples and three homeruns. He had 10 RBI's and scored six times. His batting average was .375. His OBP was .444 and his slugging average was 1.188. Kyle is in his third year of professional baseball and he resides in Rockingham, NC.
The Pitcher of the Week was St. Lucie Mets Right-hander Rafael Montero. He started one game, recorded a win, and had a 0.00 ERA. In seven and two-thirds innings he allowed no hits, walked three, and struck out five batters. Rafael is in his second year of professional baseball and resides in Santo Domingo, DR.
