
Florida State League Names Pitcher & Player of the Week

The Florida State League announced today the Player and Pitcher of the Week for the period May 12- May 18, 2014.
The Player of the Week was Charlotte Stone Crabs Infielder Patrick Leonard. In six games he had eight hits in 23 at bats for a .348 batting average. His hits included three homeruns and one double. He had one stolen base. His OBP was .400 and his slugging average was .783. Patrick is in his third year of professional baseball and his hometown is St. Johns, FL.
The Pitcher of the Week was Jupiter Hammerheads Right-hander Scott Lyman. He started one game, had a complete game, recorded a win, and had a 1.00 ERA. In nine innings pitched he allowed five hits, two walks, and struck out nine batters. Scott is in his fourth year of professional baseball and his hometown is Alamo, CA.
