Florida Launch to Hold First Annual Florida Lacrosse

The Florida Launch will be holding the First Annual Florida Lacrosse Coaches Convention from January 6th to the 8th in Boca Raton, Florida. This marks the first convention of its kind to happen in South Florida as the Launch are proud to partner with US Lacrosse for the three day event. The convention will bring speakers with significant levels of experience and knowledge of the game to allow Florida coaches from youth to high school levels to learn from them.

Coaches will arrive on Friday to the Renaissance Hotel in Boca Raton where a happy hour social will kick off the weekend festivities. Breakfast and lunch will be provided Saturday at the hotel for all coaches in attendance. Lectures and workshops will be given throughout the day on a wide range of topics so that coaches may pick topics of interest to learn more about.

Guest speakers will include:

- John Galloway - NCAA Division I Jacksonville University Head Coach and current Major League Lacrosse Rochester Rattlers All Pro Goalie

- Dave Cottle- 27 year NCAA Division I Head Coach (18 years Loyola University, nine years University of Maryland) and current Major League Lacrosse Chesapeake Bayhawks' General Manager.

- Brian Kingsbury - NCAA Division II Lynn University Head Coach.

- And many more nationally recognized coaches.

A full list of workshops, lectures, and guest speakers for all days of the convention will be released later this month. Topics will include, but are not limited to, coaching strategy, position strategy, sports medicine, and coaching culture. "Lacrosse in Florida has grown to a level where it is time to have a convention. We are committed to growing the game in Florida and we could not be more excited to bring together coaches of all levels for a special weekend of lacrosse education and networking," said Florida Launch President Brian Clinton. Early registration of just $39 is open until December 1st. After December 1st, registration will increase to $49.
