BOCA RATON, Fla. (March 20, 2015) - The Florida Launch (Launch), Major League Lacrosse's (MLL) only Florida team, announced today the return of George Harris as the Offensive Coordinator for the Launch's 2015 season and the addition of Matt Sofarelli as the Defensive Coordinator.

"We are happy to have the return of George Harris for our second season and to add Matt Sofarelli to the mix," said Head Coach Stan Ross. "We look forward to hitting the ground running in a few weeks at training camp and putting a championship caliber team on the field come April."

Harris is currently the head coach for the Pine Crest School boy's lacrosse team, where he has been for the past two years. Before joining Pine Crest, Harris spent eight years coaching at Division III Wittenberg University in Ohio. While there, Coach Harris turned the team into a conference champion and NCAA tournament participant in 2010 and 2011. Previously, he had spent time coaching at Harvard (2002-2005), Cornell (2001-2002), Colgate (1996-2001) and Skidmore (1993-1996).

Matt Sofarelli joins the Launch for his first year of MLL coaching as the defensive coordinator. Sofarelli currently coaches the boy's lacrosse team at Jensen Beach High School. He started the boy's lacrosse program in 2010 and coaches as well for Florida Swashbucklers Lacrosse. Sofarelli previously played four years at Syracuse where he helped lead the team to four final fours.

The Launch kicks off its 2015 season with a home-and-home series against the Chesapeake Bayhawks. Florida takes its offensive unit with the 2014 MLL MVP and Offensive Player of the Year Casey Powell, as well as the 2014 Rookie of the Year Kieran McArdle, to Annapolis on Sunday, April 19 before returning to Boca Raton for the 2015 Launch home opener on April 26 at 1 p.m.
