
Florida Flame Announce 2005-06 Regular Season Roster

FORT MYERS, Fla., November 17 - The Florida Flame, presented by Century 21 Sunbelt Realty, have announced their regular season roster for the 2005-06 NBA Development League season. According to an announcement made by Florida Head Coach Jeff Malone, the Flame have waived guard Kyle Bailey and center Anwar Ferguson.
Twelve players are currently participating in the Flame's training camp. Three players have NBA experience (Andre Barrett, Theron Smith, and Hiram Fuller), two are assigned from an NBA team (Dwayne Jones and Bracey Wright), while seven participated in 2005 NBA training camps (Barrett-Milwaukee, Smith-Denver, Fuller-Washington, Wright-Minnesota, Jones-Minnesota, Ricky Shields-New Jersey, E.J. Rowland-San Antonio Spurs).
The Flame's remaining 2005 D-League Draft selections include point guard and NBA veteran Andre Barrett (1st round, #1 overall), shooting guard Ricky Shields (2nd round), small forward Jonathan Moore (4th round), center George Leach (5th round), point guard E.J. Rowland (6th round), guard/forward Romel Beck (7th round), and small forward Josh Gross (9th round).
The players selected by Florida join the team's lone remaining allocated player (Smith), two NBA assigned players (Jones and Wright), and two returners from last season (Fuller and Dartez).

The Flame tips-off its second season in its home opener, Friday, November 25 at 7 p.m. as they take on the Roanoke Dazzle at Germain Arena.
