Florida Firecats Fall to Seventh in Week Fifteen Coaches Poll

Estero, FL- The Florida Firecats received 293 points to finish seventh in the Week Fifteen Coaches Poll, the arenafootball2 (af2) league office announced today. The Firecats (8-4) fell two spots after a last second 59-56 loss to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers last Saturday night at Germain Arena.

By securing 437 out of a possible 448 points, the Spokane Shock moved back into the top spot in the poll this week. Spokane (12-1) clinched its third West Division title in as many seasons with a 56-54 home win against Central Valley last Saturday. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (11-2) moved up a spot to second after defeating the Firecats. The defending ArenaCup champion Tulsa Talons (11-2) slipped two spots to third after losing a 48-33 road decision to Amarillo. South Georgia (9-4) and Arkansas (9-4) rounded out the top five.

Each week during the season, af2 coaches vote for the Top 16 teams in the league by ranking them one through 16. The complete Top 16 is listed below. The number in parentheses indicates the number of first place votes the team received. Week 15 TOP 16
