TODAY'S GAME: Game one of a three-game weekend set against the Clearwater Threshers (PHI) at Osceola County Stadium...Florida is coming off a five-game series victory over the Daytona Tortugas at Jackie Robinson Ballpark (3-2), and a 6-2 road trip against Daytona and the Palm Beach Cardinals (3-0)...Third of four series (12 games) against the Philadelphia Phillies' affiliate, with five coming at Osceola County Stadium (1-1)...The Atlanta Braves' split a rain-shortened, two-game series at home against Clearwater from May 18-19.

TODAY'S STARTING PITCHER: 20-year-old Ian Anderson makes his 17th start of 2018 in the series opener against the Clearwater Threshers on Friday night...The 6'3" hurler came into the campaign as the Atlanta Braves' fifth-ranked prospect according to Baseball America, and is currently fourth according MLB.com, and is the 42nd- (Baseball America) and 51st- (MLB.com) overall rated prospect in baseball...The native of Rexford, N.Y. did not factor into the decision of a 2-1 victory over the Palm Beach Cardinals on July 8 at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium...The right-hander worked five scoreless innings, scattering two hits and striking out seven on 96 pitches (64 strikes)...Friday will be Anderson's third career start against the Threshers...The third overall pick of the 2016 draft is 0-1 against the Philadelphia Phillies' affiliate, despite allowing just one run on five hits, five walks and 10 strikeouts...Anderson faced Clearwater at home on May 19, and held the visitors scoreless on a rainy day through 5.2 innings, surrendering just two hits, walking three and punching out seven before the game was suspended.

FLORIDA HITS ON ALL CYLINDERS IN SERIES VICTORY OVER DAYTONA: Everything clicked for the Florida Fire Frogs on Thursday night, as the visitors came away with an emphatic, 11-1 victory over the Daytona Tortugas at Jackie Robinson ballpark in the rubber match of the five-game series. The matchup concluded the 2018 series between the two clubs, with Florida taking five of the 18 contests.

Tucker Davidson took a perfect game into the fifth before walking back-to-back batters with two outs. The left-hander had the no-hit bid broken up in the seventh on back-to-back singles from Tyler Stephenson and Bruce Yari, snapping the shutout in the process.

PUTTING THEM TO BED: Tucker Davidson snapped a rough stretch against the Daytona Tortugas with just one run allowed on two hits en route to his sixth win of the season...The 23-year-old carried a perfect game through 14 batters, and took a no-hitter into the seventh against the Cincinnati Reds' affiliate...The Braves' 21st-ranked prospect (MLB.com) tied a career-high with eight strikeouts through his six innings of work.

DOING WORK: The bottom four of the lineup combined to go 10-for-21 in the series finale against Daytona, while scoring eight runs and driving in six...Kevin Josephina paved the way with a team-leading, four knocks and four RBI, while Kurt Hoekstra and Isranel Wilson both had their first home runs as Fire Frogs.

BEWARE THE HOEK: Kurt Hoekstra picked up three more hits on Thursday night to bring his average up by 10 points from .272 to .282...The corner infielder is off to a .395 start across 12 games to start the fourth month of the season, and picked up his first long ball at the High-A level with a 406-ft. blast out to right to open up the scoring in the second inning.

CRANK IT TO 11!: Brett Cumberland drew two more walks and had an RBI double in Thursday night's contest to extend his on-base streak to 11 games...During the stretch, the switch hitter is batting .306 (11-for-36), and has drawn nine free passes...The product of Cal leads the Florida State League with 47 walks this season, five more than Taylor Trammell of the Daytona Tortugas.

ROAD TRIP ROUNDUP: Florida finished its eight-game road trip with a 6-2 mark against the two teams that won their divisions in the first half...Fire Frogs' staring pitchers combined to go 3-1 with a 2.29 ERA (12er/47.2ip), while the relievers were also 3-1 and posted an ERA of 3.30 (7er/19.1ip)...The offense struck for 35 runs (4.4 runs/game) on 69 hits (8.7 hits/game).

ANDERSON NAMED PITCHER OF THE WEEK: 20-year-old Ian Anderson was named the Florida State League Pitcher of the Week for the week of July 2-8...Atlanta's fourth-ranked propect went 2-0 in his two starts, and did not yield a run to the Jupiter Hammerheads or Palm Beach Cardinals at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium...Rexford, N.Y. native struck out 18 batters across 11 innings of work, while limiting the opposition to five hits, and issued just one free pass...The right-hander has not allowed a run since the sixth inning of a June 26 contest against the Dunedin Blue Jays at Osceola County Stadium, spanning 13 frames...Over three starts since the second half, Anderson has allowed two runs on 11 hits, four walks and 24 strikeouts across 17 innings, posting an ERA of 2.12 in the process.
