
Flight sign WR Tyron Laughinghouse

TRENTON - The Jersey Flight have signed former All-NAL wide receiver Tyron Laughinghouse. Laughinghouse was a standout member of the Carolina Cobras in 2018. He has also been a member of the Atlantic City Blackjacks and Wichita Falls Nighthawks. He attended Saint Augustine's University and was a member of the football and basketball team. He is a Greensboro, North Carolina native and will return to his hometown in Week 2 when the Flight travel to face the Carolina Cobras.
Despite missing the last three games of the 2018 season due to an ankle injury, Laughinghouse led the Carolina Cobras in receiving yards, with 70 receptions, 805 yards, and 21 touchdowns. Laughinghouse recovered from the injury in time to play in the NAL Championship game, where he caught two touchdowns and helped the Cobras win the NAL title. He was awarded 2nd team All-NAL in 2018.
Laughinghouse had a standout performance in the Cobras Week 4 win against the Jacksonville Sharks, recording 13 catches for 181 yards and four receiving touchdowns, adding an additional kick return touchdown as well.
Laughinghouse signed with the Atlantic City Blackjacks in 2019 and was teammates with Flight quarterback Warren Smith Jr. He was placed on injured reserve and did not record any stats with the Blackjacks. During his time with the Wichita Falls Nighthawks in 2017, Laughinghouse appeared in eight games and recorded 23 receptions, 325 yards, and ten touchdowns.
Laughinghouse joins a Flight receiving core which includes Brian Robinson, Edward Victorian, Jared Harris, Jaren Colston-Green, Larry Beavers, Neiko Creamer, and Rashaad Carter. The Flight are set to begin training camp during March and open the season on April 5th. The first home game at Cure Insurance Arena is on Saturday May 1st against the Albany Empire.
