St. Louis Flight News Release
(St. Louis, MO) -- A playoff push is still on the minds of the St. Louis Flight basketball team. St. Louis' first year entry into the American Basketball Association has split its last four games and host the Colorado Storm Tuesday night at the Family Arena. Now 10-and-16 with just over a week left in the schedule, every game is crucial for St. Louis' playoff hopes.
Tuesday will be â1380 ESPN Night' as afternoon drive hosts Malcolm Briggs and Howard Balzar of 1380 will be the team's honorary 11th and 12th men. Colorado defeated St. Louis earlier in the year, but is just 3-and-12 on the season. Colorado's Johnny Reece has surpassed the 30 point mark three times this season, including the 126-to-106 win over St. Louis in late January.
The Flight has a balanced scoring attack with six players averaging over ten points per game. Former Ball State guard Cedric Moodie ranks in the top ten in the ABA's Central Division averaging just under sixteen points per contest. Former Missouri player Tyrone Lee is second in the division grabbing over 8 rebounds a game.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
