MOBILE, Ala (Jan. 24) – Derek Hood scored a game-high 19 points and added 10 rebounds to pace the Mobile Revelers to a 79-65 NBDL victory over the Huntsville Flight here Friday night at the Mobile Civic Center.

The Flight (15-14) had a two-game winning streak snapped as they also dropped their second straight to the Revelers. Mobile (14-12) won for the sixth time in seven games during its current homestand.

Down 38-33 at intermission, A.J. Guyton scored the Flight’s first nine points of the second half including a 3-pointer to end the spurt and give Huntsville its first lead since early in the second quarter at 42-41. Guyton hit another trey later in the period – as he finished with 12 of his team-high 18 points in the quarter – to give the Flight its final advantage at 48-47.

The Revelers then scored nine of the final 11 points of the quarter to take a 56-50 lead into the final 10 minutes.

Huntsville was able to cut the gap to four early in the final stanza, but Mobile score 10 straight midway through the period – as Earnest Brown scored six of his 13 points during that stretch – to put the game out of reach.
