Flight Change Game Time For Feb. 1 Game

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., January 15, 2003 â The Huntsville Flight announced today that they are moving the game time of the Feb. 1 contest against the Asheville Altitude from 7:30 to 6 p.m. The switch was made in order to play a tripleheader in conjunction with the Oakwood College Ambassadors at the Von Braun Center.
The Flight game commences play with their game against the Altitude, followed by the Oakwood College men's team taking on Columbia Union College of Takoma Park, Md., at 8:15 p.m. The women's teams will follow with a 10:30 p.m. contest.
The theme for the night's event is "Heritage Night" with booths featuring different cultures and ethnic backgrounds on display in the concourse.
The activities also include the finals of the "Be an All-Star" 3-point and slam dunk competitions with each winner awarded two NBA All-Star Prize packages. Each package will contain a ticket to the All-Star Game, All-Star Saturday night, the Rookie and Sophomore game, NBA Jam Session and two social functions.
Gym bags will be given away as part of the Flight Uniform series to the first 1,000 kids in attendance, courtesy of Meadow Gold Dairies and Food World.
