Flex Dominate Xpress in 34-Point Win

BLOOMINGTON - The Bloomington Flex evened their record with a dominating performance over the Springfield Xpress Saturday in front of 1,102 fans at U.S. Cellular Coliseum.

The Flex scored a season-high 121 points in the lopsided win, holding the Xpress to a season-low 87 points, nearly 30 points under their season average. Josiah Whitehead led the Flex with 22 points on 8-of-9 shooting from the floor. Jemal Farmer, in his return to Bloomington, added 21 points, while Ryan Anderson had 20 on the strength of four three-point baskets. Three more Flex players scored in double figures. Lester Hart had 21 for the Xpress.

The Flex never trailed in the game, opening up a 16-point lead after the first quarter, and building the lead throughout the game to the final margin of 34 points.

The Flex raised their record to 2-2, while Springfield fell to 0-4.

The Flex next travel to St. Joseph, Mich., to take on the Lake Michigan Admirals on Sunday, April 14.
