ORLANDO, Fla. (June 2) â Orlando WR/LB Cory Fleming has been named Arena Football League's "Ironman of the Week" for week one of the playoffs.
Fleming caught nine passes for 115 yards and three touchdowns in Orlando's 47-42 win over New York. Fleming's touchdowns included a 35-yard reception at the 7:46 mark of the third quarter that gave the Predators a 44-28 lead.
Defensively, he recorded three tackles and a forced fumble. The forced fumble came at the Predators goal line and prevented a Dragons touchdown.
The award marked the third AFL weekly award for Fleming, who was named to both the first unit of the All-Arena team and first unit of the All-Ironman team last week.
