Rio Grande Valley Flash News Release

TIJUANA, Mexico- The Rio Grande Valley Flash swept the backend of the west coast trip by grinding out a 6-2 victory over the Mexico Toros on Sunday afternoon at the Unisantos Sports Park.

A game that featured over 25 fouls, the Flash used the power play to their advantage to earn the victory by going 2-for-3.

Erick Flores netted a hat-trick taking his personal tally and team leading to 14 goals to guide the Flash on the offensive front.

Brownsville native goalkeeper Juan Gamboa had a career day in net stopping 26-out of-28 shots earning his fifth win of the season.

The next home match for the Flash is on Friday night February 15, when they host the second-placed Chicago Mustangs at State Farm Arena with the kick-off at 7:30 pm.

It will be a pivotal game as the Flash are only behind by a half game and it will have the makings of a playoff match as only two teams from each division can move. The Dallas Sidekicks already clinched the top spot in the division.

RGV Flash season and individual tickets are on sale at the State Farm Arena box office or by calling the front office at (956) 843-6688.

The RGV Flash are members of the Professional Arena Soccer League Central Division, with 19 teams located across the United States.
