Garcia Earns Second Team Nod

HIDALGO, Texas - Defender Damian Garcia was named to the PASL All-League Second team after a stellar season with the Rio Grande Flash.
Garcia ended the regular season in fourth place among all league defenders with 24 points on 16 goals and eight assists. He had two 4-point performances where he scored three goals and an assist which came on (9-10; L to Chicago on 12/28/12 and 21-3; W to Real Phoenix on 02/01/13)
The award came to a surprise to head coach, Mariano Bollella as he commented "I was a little surprised but glad at the end as I thought we would get more than one player nominated, as we had a very balanced team scoring wise. Now that the league awards have been given, we can concentrate on our next opponent (Detroit Waza Flo) as they will be difficult team to beat as they just won the U.S. Open Cup against another difficult team."
