Western New York Flash News Release

ELMA, N.Y. (Friday, July 10, 2015) - The Western New York Flash will look to keep things rolling as it heads to Seattle on Saturday night for the second leg of a home-and-home series with Reign FC. The game will kickoff at 7 p.m. PT/10 p.m. ET at Moda Pitch at Memorial Stadium and both teams enter riding point streaks.

Saturday's match will be streamed live on YouTube and can be watched by clicking the link here. Fans can also follow live play-by-play at the Flash's official Twitter page, @WNYFlash, and can join the conversation by using the hashtag #SRFCvWNYF.

The Flash, who posted a season-high 20 shots in its previous meeting with the Reign, have earned points in five of its last six games, while Seattle is unbeaten in its last seven matches.

In the team's previous meeting last week, Western New York held the Reign to zero shots in the run of play, with the visitors' lone attempt coming in the 55th minute when Kim Little scored on a penalty kick. That goal put the Reign up 1-0, but Lynn Williams answered in the 81st minute to level the game at 1-1. Williams was setup by Elizabeth Eddy who, normally a midfielder, was playing at right back. Eddy collected the ball at the top of the penalty box and beat three Seattle defenders before finding fellow rookie Williams open on the far post.

Williams is currently tied for the team lead with three goals, along with fellow first-year player Samantha Mewis. Eddy currently has two goals and two assists on the year.

Chantel Jones, who has started the last four games in goal for Western New York, has allowed just four goals in her 435 minutes with one shutout and a .800 goals against average.

Following the Flash's road game, the team returns to Sahlen's Stadium on Sunday, July 19 to host Sky Blue FC. Fans can get tickets to welcome back the starts of Team USA in their first game back in Rochester by visiting wnyflash.com, by calling the Flash at (716) 655-PLAY or by contacting the Sahlen's Stadium Box Office. The Flash are also offering half-season ticket packages which include tickets to the team's final five match against marquee World Cup stars such as Carli Lloyd, Alex Morgan and Julie Johnston.
