
Flames Sign Brett Sutter

Calgary, AB - Calgary Flames Executive Vice President & General Manager Darryl Sutter announced today the signing of forward Brett Sutter to a one year contract.
Sutter, a native of Viking, Alberta, accumulated 24 points along with 69 penalty minutes in 66 games this season for the Abbotsford Heat of the AHL. In 13 playoff games with the Heat, Sutter led his team in scoring with 11 points including four goals. He also saw action in 10 games with the Flames in the 2009-10 season. During the 2008-09 season, he played four games with the Calgary scoring his first career NHL goal in his first game.
