SAINT JOHN, NB - The Saint John Flames announced today that right winger Jeff Mitchell has been recalled from the Toledo Storm of the East Coast Hockey League.

Mitchell has collected 6 points (3 goals, 3 assists) and 21 penalty minutes in 6 games with Toledo since being assigned on February 27. Originally selected 68th overall in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft by the Los Angeles Kings, the 26-year-old, 6'2", 205 lb native of Wayne, Michigan was signed by Calgary as a free agent in August of 2001. In 50 games with Saint John this season, Mitchell has recorded 8 points (6 goals, 2 assists) and 69 penalty minutes.

Mitchell is expected to be available for Saint John's contest tomorrow night as the Flames visit the Albany River Rats.

The Saint John Flames are the primary development organization of the National Hockey League's Calgary Flames and have been a member of the American Hockey League since 1993.
