
Flame Acquires Brown, Waives Smith

GREENVILLE, S.C., March 16 - The Florida Flame has acquired forward Roman Brown from the NBA Development League available player pool and waived forward Theron Smith due to injury.
Brown, 6-8, played his collegiate basketball at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, just down the road from Germain Arena where the Flame plays its home games. From 2002-04 Brown amassed 452 career points and 359 career rebounds to finish fifth and third, respectively on those FGCU career lists.
Smith played in 33 games (30 starts) for the Flame, averaging 33.6 minutes, 14.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists.
