Friday, March 31, 2006 vs Rockford Rockford 4 Flags 1 Port Huron - The Rockford Icehogs defeated the Port Huron Flags 4-1 Friday night, earning two points to tie for second place in UHL overall standings.
Robin Big Snake scored first for the IceHogs, his 27th of the season, at 6:30 in the first period, followed by Preston Mizzi with his 31st on the season to make it 2-1 Rockford at the end of the second period.
The Flags held the Icehogs at two through the second period while Rockford out-shot the Flags 13-8.
Ryan Markham was the first to score in the third period with his fifth goal of the season coming on a powerplay, unassisted, at 13:21, but that was all the offense the Flags had to offer as Preston Mizzi scored his second goal of the game on an empty net to end the game 4-1 in favor of the IceHogs.
Rockford out-shot the Flags 37-24 with Scott Hay earning 34 saves.
Saturday, April 1, 2006 vs Richmond Richmond 3 Flags 2
Port Huron - The Port Huron Flags played to win Saturday night, gaining a 2-1 lead over the visiting Richmond Riverdogs at the end of the second, but two powerplay goals from the Riverdogs in the third snapped the Flags' lead and earned Richmond the 3-2 victory.
Petr Jelinek scored for the Flags just 2:22 seconds into the game with his seventh of the season, with Trevor Edwards and Jim Murphy picking up the assists.
John Dipace tied the game for the Riverdogs with his eighth powerplay goal of the season at 12:00 in the first to end the period 1-1.
Petr Jelinek answered at 1:44 in the second with his second goal of the game, assisted by Jim Murphy, to put the Flags up 2-1 heading into the third.
Mike Oliveira and Evgeny Lazarev each scored on powerplays in the third period to hand the Flags the upset.
Scott Hay earned 33 saves for a season total of 1,702.

The sixth ranked Fort Wayne Komets visit McMorran Place Arena for the final time to face the Flags at home. Be sure to arrive early to receive your copies of the fourth edition Flags Player Cards. The Flags are 3-3-0 vs the Komets.
Saturday, April 8, 2006 at Kalamazoo 7:30 pm
The Flags head to Wings Stadium in Kalamazoo to face the second place Wings on their ice. The Flags are 1-7-1 vs the Kalamazoo Wings.
Flags Notes:
Aaron Brand, Brett Lutes, Sean Regan and Jaakko Kallio remain on Injured Reserve. Brent Sullivan is suspended for the next two (2) games
Flags Leaders:
Brett Lutes leads the team with 50 points (22g, 28a). He still leads the league in shootout goals with nine.
Aaron Brand (IR) is tied for first in UHL game high powerplay goals with three.
Scott Hay leads the league in shootout wins with nine and is second in the UHL with 1,702 saves.

The Flags Awards Banquet will be held at Crystal Gardens in Marysville on Tuesday, April 11. Tickets are $25 per person, cocktails are served starting at 6:00pm and the buffet opens at 7:00pm.
