Port Huron Flags News Release

(PORT HURON, MICH.) - On Sunday, Oct. 22, the Port Huron Flags will play the Elmira Jackals at 3:30 p.m., an hour and half earlier than the originally scheduled 5 p.m. puck drop.

"We want to give our fans an opportunity to watch both the Flags and the Detroit Tigers compete that night," said President Mark Neal. "With our game finishing around 6 p.m., there should be plenty of time for the community to accommodate both games."

The American League Champion Tigers, who play at 7:30 p.m. that night, will face either the St. Louis Cardinals or the New York Mets, in game two of the World Series.

Team travel from New York prevented the Flags from changing the start time of Saturday's game against the Jackals. However, there will be multiple televisions available at McMorran for hockey fans to track the progress of World Series Game One.
