Port Huron Flags News Release
Port Huron, MI- The Port Huron Flags, the community owned, nonprofit member club of The United Hockey League (UHL) and President Dan Isenberg, announced this morning that The Flags' season ticket base has exceeded the 1,000 mark. The recent sales have put The Flags on track to break the current record of 1,100 season tickets held by the 1996-1997 Port Huron Border Cats, one of the original five members of The Colonial League, now The UHL.
Flags' President Dan Isenberg believes that the organization's sales are indicative of the exceptional support the team has received from the Port Huron community.
"I'm not surprised at all" said Isenberg. "I said from the beginning that our mission is to approach every fan, every business, with the mentality that it's all about them, the community."
With 1,007 season tickets sold and sponsorship sales totaling $350,000 five weeks before the season starts, the message seems to be coming across loud and clear.
Isenberg further credits the seven members of his sales staff for their tireless effort and team work, particularly mentioning the efforts of Director of Marketing Sherri Matusz, Director of Sponsorships Nick Shabro and Director of Public Relations, Nicole Noel, all for their sales efforts in addition to their job specific duties.
"Our staff, despite their individual responsibilities, has remained focused on the success of this organization," said Isenberg. "They mirror the enthusiasm and passion that this community has to make The Flags the best team in the UHL."
Isenberg is determined to lead his staff past his personal goal of 1,500 season tickets before their home opener against Danbury on October 21st. Flags' fans can track the organization's season ticket sales as they attempt to shatter the Border Cat's record by logging on to www.porthuronflags.net.
