IceHogs announce exhibition schedule with $7 special

Rockford, Ill.- The Rockford IceHogs, members of the United Hockey League, announced Thursday their 2005-06 preseason schedule. The IceHogs, along with the Western Division rival Quad City Mallards and Missouri River Otters will play a round robin exhibition schedule.
Rockford will host the Mallards at the Rockford MetroCentre on Saturday, October 15 at 7:05 p.m. The IceHogs and Mallards have tangled in the preseason in each of the past four seasons. In celebration of the start of the seventh-season in Rockford, the IceHogs are offering a $7 Special with $7 General Admission tickets and free admission to kids 7-and under.
"Even though we've had six very successful seasons in Rockford, there are a lot citizens in the Northern Illinois area that haven't had an opportunity to check out IceHogs hockey,"Â said IceHogs General Manager Ryan Washatka. "This is an opportunity for them to sample some of the most exciting and affordable family entertainment that the Rock River Valley has to offer."Â
Tickets can be purchased at the Rockford MetroCentre Box Office or by calling (815) 968-5222 beginning October 3 at 10:00 a.m. Tickets for the exhibition contest against the Mallards are not included in season ticket holder's ticket packages.
The IceHogs will then play their second and final exhibition game of the preseason on Sunday, October 16 when they travel to St. Charles, Missouri to take on the River Otters. Game time on Sunday will be 6:30 p.m. and the game will be played at the St. Louis Mills IceZone.
The St. Louis Mills IceZone is located at 5555 St. Louis Mills Blvd, in Hazelwood Missouri. Admission for the Hogs-Otters preseason contest is $6, and all seats are general admission. Tickets can be purchased day of the game at the IceZone beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Fans will be able to purchase single game regular season tickets on Monday, October 3. The MetroCentre Box Office opens at 10:00 a.m. and fans can also purchase tickets by calling (815) 968-5222 or on the internet at centreevents.com. Ticket prices for the 2005-06 season are $9, $13, $16 and $19.
