Five reasons to attend Friday's game against Kingston

The Plymouth Whalers (12-6-1-1) host the Kingston Frotnenacs (11-9-1-0) in an Ontario Hockey League game Friday night at 7:30 pm at the Compuware Sports Arena.

Here are five reasons why you should attend the game:

1-See if the Whalers win another shootout, with Chris Terry scoring the deciding goal.

2-Say hello again to former Whalers Mike Looby and Michael Kolarz, now in Kingston.

3-Check out Kingston center Peder Skinner, who recently left Michigan State to play in the Ontario Hockey League with the Frontenacs. Skinner currently has three goals with three assists for six points over five games. Check out Kingston goaltender Danny Taylor, a draft choice of the Los Angeles Kings; forward Radek Smolenak, who scored 32 goals last year and a Tampa Bay draft; and All-Name Team member Bobby Bolt, an Anaheim draft.

4-You could see the Whalers go into first place in the Ontario Hockey League's West Division. Plymouth comes into the weekend with 26 points, tied with the Saginaw Spirit, who are playing Brampton Friday night.

5-Check out the National Hockey League scouts evaluating Whalers John Armstrong, Cory Tanaka, Justin Garay, Tom Sestito and Zack Shepley, all eligible for the 2006 National Hockey League Entry Draft.
