New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release
Manchester, NH- The New Hampshire Fisher Cats, Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, have been selected by the editors of New Hampshire Magazine's BRIDE as "Best of Bride 2009" for Best Ballpark Bliss. Along with the Editor's Picks, BRIDE this year conducted an online poll to determine readers' picks. Voting took place from the beginning of April to the end of June. A complete list of the winners is in the current issue of BRIDE and on the website, www.bridenh.com.
"This award serves as evidence that Merchantsauto.com Stadium is truly a community center where we just happen to have baseball games 71 times a year," said Fisher Cats President Rick Brenner. "Selecting a venue for your wedding ceremony is one of the most important decisions a couple will ever make, and it is an honor to have our ballpark recognized as a special destination for such a momentous event."
In one of the more glamorous wedding ceremonies held at Merchantsauto.com Stadium, Eric and Danielle (Rampino) Hermon of Merrimack, NH,exchanged their marital vows on Saturday, October 25, 2008. In addition to getting married at the ballpark, other couples have taken the opportunity to host wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners and even have bride-and-groom first pitches at the home of the Fisher Cats.
The Fisher Cats also hosted their inaugural Renew Your Wedding Vows Night on Saturday, August 8, where one lucky couple - Art and Pauline Labrie of Manchester, NH- won a second honeymoon at Steele Hill Resorts in Sanbornton, NH, consisting of a six-night, seven-day stay at the luxurious resort located in the heart of the Lakes Region. The Labries opened the envelope containing the 'Golden Ticket' moments after having their wedding vows renewed on the field with 38 other couples.
"Those selected are professionals that we feel, after five years of reporting on New Hampshire's wedding industry, warrant special recognition for their creative approach to making a couple's wedding day memorable," said Barbara Coles, editor of BRIDE. "They strive every day to provide great service and want to celebrate that."
New Hampshire Fisher Cats 2010 Full- and Half-Season Tickets are on sale now, and tickets to the 2009 Granite State Baseball Dinner, presented by Northeast Delta Dental, scheduled for Saturday, November 21, are also on sale now by calling (603) 641-2005 or visiting www.nhfishercats.com.
