'Fish Sunk by Road Warriors

(Bridgeport, Conn. - May 5, 2011) - The Bridgeport Bluefish (1-3) suffered an 11-4 defeat at the hands of the Road Warriors (2-2) on Thursday night at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard.
Miguel Martinez (2-0) started for the Road Warriors and tossed five innings of no earned run baseball in picking up his second win of the season. He has not allowed an earned run in his first two starts which spans ten-and-two-thirds innings. Pat Ryan (0-1) suffered the loss for the Bluefish as he allowed seven runs in three-and-one-third frames.
Danny Gonzalez collected four hits in five plate appearances and scored four times for the Road Warriors. Carlos Sosa drilled also produced for the road team with a two-run shot to rightcenter in the third to lead his 2-for-3 night with three RBI and two runs scored.
The Bluefish had two players with multiple hits on the night. Luis Lopez went 2-for-4 with a two-run single while Danny Putnam collected two hits in five at-bats.
The next contest for the Bluefish is on Friday as Bridgeport travels to Long Island to take on the Ducks. Friday's pre-game show is set for 6:35 p.m.
Bridgeport returns home for a two-game set against the defending Atlantic League Champion York Revolution on May 11. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday.
