PHILADELPHIA -- The Rockford Rampage utilized a 15-2 second-half surge to defeat the Philadelphia KiXX, 22-12, on Saturday in Major Indoor Soccer League action at the Liacouras Center. The MISL-leading Rampage earned their first win over the KiXX this season after dropping their first three matches against Philadelphia.
Next up for the Rampage is a 7:05 p.m. match on Saturday, Jan. 30, against La RaZa de Monterrey at the MetroCentre.
Geison Moura and Matthew Stewart each had two goals and an assist to carry the Rampage on Saturday. In the net, Ante Cop made 12 saves for his second straight victory.
The Rampage (6-4) have won three straight and own a half-game lead over the Milwaukee Wave for first place in the MISL. The KiXX fell to 3-6.
Among Rockford's other contributors, Semir Mesanovic and Roberto Gallo each had a three-point goal and an assist. Andre Berenzon, Ibrahim Kante, Fred Degand and Marco Sullo each had two-point goals.
