First Home Stand Brings Thousands to Uni-Trade Stadium

Laredo, TX - The much anticipated opening of Uni-Trade Stadium brought thousands of eager fans out to see the 2012 Lemurs.

The home stand started with the grand opening of Uni-Trade Stadium on Thursday, May 17th with 5,923 fans passing through the turn stills to capture a glimpse of the new ballpark and the new team.

Attendance stayed steady throughout the home stand with over 5000 fans coming to Uni-Trade Stadium for five of the seven dates.

Before the Lemurs hit the road Wednesday they hosted Kid's Day at Uni-Trade Stadium, with 6,616 elementary, junior high, and high school students coming out to watch a ballgame.

Throughout the seven game home stand the Lemurs had 31,944 fans come through the gates for an average of 4,563 fans per game. That's second in the league to the Kansas City T-Bones who drew 33,679 fans in there seven game home stand for an average of 4,811 per game. The Lemurs will be home to take on the El Paso Diablos and the Amarillo Sox for a seven game home stand starting June 1st .
