Firestone Stadium to Host 2012 Central Regional Junior Softball Tournament

AKRON, OH -August 1, 2012 - Firestone Stadium will play host to the Little League World Series Central Regional August 4-8.

Round one is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 4 with Escanaba LL playing Melrose Park LL at the Stadium field for the American League and Columbia Softball LL playing Sturgeon Bay LL on the Pony field for the National League.

The championship game will be held Wednesday, August 8 at 2:00p.m. with the winners of the Semi-Final games facing off. All pins and pennants will be awarded after the championship game.

Concession stands will be open for all of the games serving hotdogs, hamburgers, popcorn and other tasty eats.

There will be no admission fees for any of the games.
