Albany/Indiana Firebirds News Release
INDIANAPOLIS - After interviewing several local and national advertising agencies the Indiana Firebirds of the Arena Football League have chosen Indianapolis based Englehart Dicken, Inc. as their agency of record. The agency search started in the spring of 2003 and ended last week with the hiring of Englehart Dicken.
"We were looking for an agency with an over the edge marketing philosophy and we found it with Englehart Dicken," stated Firebirds Interim General Manager John Kolner. "Every agency we interviewed had great strengths; it came down to the fact that we felt that Englehart Dicken had a vision for the team and how it should be marketed."
Agency president, Blair Englehart is equally excited about the Firebirds. "We have always been known for being a little eccentric in our approach to marketing, and I guess that it paid off with us getting together with the Firebirds. Not only is our staff excited, but my two sons are pumped up and made me go out and get Firebirds jerseys last night."
Englehart Dicken is currently working on the creative, which will be introduced in January.
"We are taking a different approach this year," said Englehart. "We need to let Indiana know that this is the best entertainment deal for their money. Face it, you have speed, incredible football skills, high scores, hard hits, nice looking cheerleaders and loud music, what more could you want out of life."
Firebirds' season tickets for the 2004 season are on sale now and can be purchased by calling a Firebirds' ticket representative at 317.472.8080. Firebirds merchandise is also available at Home Court Gift Shop. For merchandise information, please call 317.917.2755.
