
FireAntz Teammates Named Bauer Co-Players of the Month

HUNTERSVILLE, NC - The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced Tayler Thompson and Sean Bonar of the Fayetteville Fire- Antz are the Bauer Co-Players of the Month for February as they led the FireAntz to a 9-2-1 record for the month.
Thompson (pictured, top) paced all SPHL players with 19 points in 12 games, scoring 7 goals, adding 12 assists and finishing with a +11 rating. A native of Bredenbury, SK, Thompson had six multi-point games, including a one-goal, three-assist outing against Evansville on February 3. Thompson currently leads the SPHL in points (45) and assists (30) and is tied for second with a +18 rating.
Bonar started all 12 games for the FireAntz in February, going 9-2-1 with a 1.74 goals against average, a .939 save percentage and one shutout. Bonar, who has started 27 consecutive games, allowed two or fewer goals in nine of his 12 starts.
The Delta, BC native currently leads SPHL netminders in wins (24), goals against average (2.03), save percentage (.928), shutouts (4), minutes (2222:11) and saves (967).
