Fayetteville, NC--Marco Emond had a standout game with 36 saves, and the Fayetteville FireAntz beat the Augusta RiverHawks 2-1.
Fayetteville was paced by Josh McQuade, who registered one goal and one assist. McQuade scored 7:15 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Fayetteville. Bobby Reed assisted on the tally.
Fayetteville also got a goal from Kyle McNeil as well.
Augusta excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The RiverHawks' offense rang up 37 shots on the FireAntz' net.
Augusta was led by Matt Auffrey, who scored the team's only goal. Auffrey scored 6:53 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Alex Morton picked up the assist.
Fayetteville incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Robbie Moss made 28 saves for the RiverHawks on 30 shots. Augusta incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.

The RiverHawks will be on the road until February 16. Their next contest is coming up on February 1 and 2 as the Team travels to Louisiana to face the Ice Gators. Fans can watch the road games live at Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta.
