Tupelo FireAnts News Release
Tupelo, MS--The Tupelo FireAnts are pleased to announce the addition of quarterback Tommy Miller to the 2005 United Indoor Football lineup.
Miller, a native of Mountain Home, Arkansas, played football at Arkansas State University before joining the Lubbock Lone Stars of the now defunct Intense Football League in 2004.
While with Lubbock, the 6-foot-4, 215-pound Miller completed 109 out of 179 pass attempts for 1,206 yards and 22 touchdowns.
"Miller is a big guy with a strong arm," FireAnts Head Coach John Fourcade said. "He is a smart football player that is familiar with the indoor game and we expect great things from him both on and off the field."
The FireAnts will open the 2005 season at home on Saturday, March 19 versus the reigning indoor football national champions, the Lexington Horsemen. Kickoff is set for 7:30pm at the BancorpSouth Center.
