
Fire To Host 2010 Jersey Launch And MLS SuperDraft Watch Party

CHICAGO, IL (January 12, 2010) - Chicago Fire Soccer Club will unveil its new 2010 team jersey and kit at its 2010 MLS SuperDraft watch party this Thursday, January 14 from Noon - 2 pm at Rockit Bar and Grill in Chicago. The Fire's own Brian McBride and Logan Pause will be on hand wearing the new kit and will sign autographs for fans. At 1 pm, Rockit will run the ESPN2 broadcast of the MLS SuperDraft live from Philadelphia. Food and Fire giveaways will also be available to fans that attend. The Fire has the 13th pick in the draft and will have five draft picks in all.
In 2009, the Fire came within one game of making the MLS Cup, falling to MLS Cup champs, Real Salt Lake, during the Eastern Conference championship before a sold-out crowd at home. On Monday, January 11, the Fire announced Carlos de los Cobos as its new head coach.
